This plant is also commonly known as prince tea or lemon grass.

Ingredients: 100% lemongrass leaves (Cymbopogon citratus).

Composition: This herb contains around 70 percent citral essential oil, which is also found in lemon and orange peel and helps synthesize vitamin A. It is also known as a sedative.

As well as being a known sedative, this oil is also used in perfumery. It also contains geraniol, linalool, nerol and citronellal in smaller quantities, depending on the type of plant.

Properties: Analgesic, antidepressant and antibacterial. Yerba princeps fights perspiration and athlete's foot and acts as an insect repellent. In the form of compresses, it is used to relieve muscular and rheumatic pain as well as skin infections. It is also widely used to relieve digestive problems and calm the nervous system.

Infusion time: 4 - 6 minutes.

Recommended amount: 1 teaspoon per person. Approx. 2 grams / cup.
